在东京举办的2005年智能机器人博览会上， Bandai推出了小型机器人BN-17。BN-17能够处理电子邮件、识别人类，并能借助它的内置摄像机来担当住宅内的警卫。此外，BN-17还能够握住一个小型的拖把形状的装置，并在房子里四处走动、打扫卫生。

目前尚不知道这种机器人的商业销售计划。

Bandai’s small robot BN-17 was reviled at the IREX 2005 in Tokyo. It is capable of handling emails, recognizing people, and acting as a home security device with its built in camera. On top of all this BN-17 is also capable of holding a small Swiffer-like device and cleaning the floor as it moves around the hourse.

There is no known plans for commercial distribution of this robot.
