Fujitsu announced their latest model research robot, the HOAP-3, in July of 2005. Along with its new stylish exterior the HOAP-3 features: 2 cameras, 1 microphone, LEDS for expression display, 3 axis gyro, 3 axis accelerometer, foot bottom sensors, grasping power sensors, distance sensors, speech recognition and synthesis capabilities, radio control for all functions, 28 joints, and a simulator for operation verification. HOAP-3 is powered by an internal Intel Pentium M 1.1GHz Processor running RT-Linux OS and has IEEE802.11g wireless LAN capability to support computer-enabled control. Fujitsu hasn't announced yet when HOAP-3 will go on sale or for how much.
